Althea Mason is originally from Paterson, New Jersey. She is the mother of six adult children and the grandmother of sixteen. She loves to travel, graduated nursing school in Fredericksburg, Virginia, has four decades of experience in the nursing field and has made Spring, Texas her home. 

Althea Mason began writing poetry, poems, and inspirational messages at the age of sixteen. She has been an avid reader since the age of eight. She enjoys the fun of bringing her characters from different nationalities and cultures to life. She wants her readers to be transported to the times and places where her characters live, love and experience turmoil.
